Expert Witness Services on Evergy Kansas's Proposed DSM Programs

In December 2021, Evergy Kansas filed a proposal to implement new demand-side management (“DSM”) programs in its Kansas service area, and to institute an associated energy efficiency rider for the 2023-2026 period. Synapse participated in stakeholder technical sessions and provided expert witness services related to this DSM application in Docket 22-EKME-254-TAR. Testimony focused on cost effectiveness, program design, and the reasonableness of Evergy’s proposed mechanism for lost revenue margin as well as shareholder incentives. Synapse also provided cross answering testimony and testimony on settlement agreements. Project completed.
