Review of economic impacts of California’s Safer Consumer Products regulation

At the request of the California Department of Toxic Substances Control, Synapse reviewed a draft of California’s Safer Consumer Products regulation, as well as supporting documents from the state and critical comments about likely economic impacts from several stakeholders. Our memos provided an economic analysis of the controversy and identified significant flaws in a major industry critique of the proposed regulation.
