Transmission Planning in Nova Scotia

Synapse provided technical assistance to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board in respect to Nova Scotia Power’s transmission planning and development activities. As part of this project, Synapse also investigated wind-related transmission upgrades, as well as the potential for biomass co-firing at existing thermal plants.
