DTE Rate Case Testimony

Synapse experts Asa Hopkins and Alice Napoleon each provided testimony in DTE Gas's 2023 rate case. Ms. Napoleon testified regarding DTE's proposed treatment and recovery of pipe replacement costs, as well as questioned DTE's strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and its decision to discontinue demand response programs. Dr. Hopkins testified regarding the importance of planning for the energy transition and its impact on DTE, including its impact on appropriate cost allocation for new customer attachments and community expansions. Dr. Hopkins also argued for the opening of a "future of heat" proceeding.
